The highly anticipated event kicked off with an extravagant red carpet, showcasing a dazzling array of stars, including Saweetie, Hit-Boy, Papoose, Angela Simmons, and many more. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as Nigerian superstar Davido & Emmerson, joined by Wynn Records, Papoose, producer Sean 2 Miles, made a grand entrance that set the tone for an unforgettable evening. I had the opportunity to get acquainted with Papoose and his manager Courtney Snaps of Snaps Media Group, Emmerson and his current manager Jackie Solomon. It felt like a family affair!
The venue was nice, electrifying, elegant, and it was a total vibe. It was a great match for the rhythm of the souls that filled the room to the sounds of afrobeats that banged throughout the speakers. Influencers and music executives mingled, creating a dynamic hub of creativity and celebration. The night helped jump off the BET Awards weekend in which Papoose introduced Emmerson to the BET stage to perform the strawberry on ice single. With its stellar lineup of talent and cultural richness, the night promised not just entertainment but a memorable experience that brought together the best of music and artistry.
